Mermay 2021

Mermay! Rerendering my old Mermay character which I designed already few years ago. The original idea was to push the size difference between the humanoid and fish parts as much as possible while maintaining nice looks. Seen people do quite fascinating mermaid anatomies with this kind of design style. My previous year's version was quite modest compared to this - although more alien-ish face-wise.

I haven't really drawn a female body of this size before so it was an interesting challenge to make it plausible and match with the chonky fish part.
